    1858 (March): 1 d. blue, a used horizontal pair with large even margins all round, used on Feb 17,1859 entire letter from Iquique to Valparaiso, Chile, endorsed "por vapor",  the multiple tied in transit in Huamchuco by dotted "HUAM." handstamp in red. Charged at arrival with '15' centavos due. File folds well away from the franking, an interesting entire sent abroad.rnNote: Iquique belonged to Peru until the 1879 War of the Pacific between allied Bolivia and Peru against Chile after which it became part of Chile.

    1866/67: Llama 10 c. vermilion, a used horizontal strip of six on June 1, 1874 registered cover from Huancavelica to Huancayo with all stamps except one cancelled by HUANCAVELICA cds with eight strikes of the five leaved handstamps at the corner edges, framed CERTIFICACION registration handstamp (Lamy & Rinck fig. 89) all in black alongside. Reverse with docketing of sending. A fine and scarce cover, signed Bottacchi (1999).
