Large Crown, perf. 14, a single example used on 1858 entire letter to Oran, Algeria endorsed "Vapor de Guerra Paquete" tied by "G" in bars obliterator in black with GIBRALTAR cds below in blue (Nov 15). Circular "ESPAGNE / ORAN" cds (Nov 22) in red at left and charged '8' décimes due upon delivery. Oran arrival cds on reverse of a fine and scarce entire.

    1866: Spain frankings from Gibraltar (2), with 1866 12 cs. orange single franking cover to Paris endorsed "via Madrid" struck with "FRANQUEO / INSUFFICIENTE" in black at San Roque, via St. Jean de Luz and taxed '9' as double weight; and 1867 cover to Lyon franked by 1867 4 cs. blue in two strips of three via the same route, charged with '5' centimes due in black. Some minor peripheral aging but a scarce pairing.
