1865/72: ½ r. grey-blue, two horizontal pairs in differing shades, each pair with ample to large margins all round, used on October 27, 1869 cover to Lima tied by "Quito" despatch cds's in black. Internal docketing states 'Rec'd per 'Pacific' with Lima arrival cds (Nov 8) in black on reverse. Minor aging along file fold well away from the adhesives, a most uncommon usage. Cert.
