1858 (Feb 25): Entire letter from St. Petersburg to Saratov bearing 1858 10 kop. brown and blue perf 14¾ : 15 (one nibbed perf), tied by 'experimental' type 2 dotted numeral '1' obliterator in black with boxed "S.P.Burg / 25 FEB 58" despatch datestamp in red and large "Polucheno v Saratov 16 MAR" arrival cds in black alongside. A very fine and fresh entire from the well known Kokujev correspondence to Saratov, a very early usage of the second type of the St. Petersburg experimental numeral obliterator, it is known from February 19, 1858. 1865 (July 17): Entire letter from St. Petersburg to Chatillon-de-Michaille, France bearing 1858 30 kop. red & green as well as 1864 1 kop. black & yellow (2) and 5 kop. black & violet, all perf. 12½, four fresh and fine adhesives, tied by the hexagonal numeral '11' obliterator of the PO at the St. Petersburg station of the SPB - Warsaw railway line, a matching cds on reverse, and "P.D." in red alongside the franking. Obverse shows in addition a perfect strike of Prussian "AUS RUSSLAND / über BÜR XI EDK BRG / FRANCO 30 7 65" entry cds in Eydtkuhnen in red and French "PRUSSE 1 AOUT 65 ERQUELINES" enty cds in blue. Reverse with Paris transit, Paris-Lyon ambulant and arrival (Aug 2) cds's, it shows a 'f8' (sgr.) weiterfranco note in blue crayon for postage beyond Prussia.
