    1854 (July 27): Entire letter from Firenze to Torphins, Scotland bearing 1851 1 cr. carmine on greyish with primarily good to huge margins (just touched at right) and horizontal strip of four 4 cr. green on greyish with good to huge margins (affected by vertical file fold), tied by FIRENZE cds's and London transit cds in red, framed PD in black and French "TOSC. Pt DE BEAUVOISIN 1 AOUT 54" entry cds in red alongside. Reverse with circular ABERDEEN and framed BANCHORY, both transit cds's (Aug 3) in blue as well as very scarce boxed TORPHINS arrival handstamp. Reverse folded out for presentation purposes, some staining and edge irregularities do not destract from this spectacular franking to a rare destination.

    1852: 60 cr. scarlet on greyish paper, a fresh and fine example with vivid colour and primarily good to enormous margins including parts of the neighbouring stamp at right, lightly shaved at top right, tied by mute obliterator leaving the Lion's face uncancelled.
