    1866 (July 1/13): First issue, Vienna printing, perf. 12, a fine and fresh selection of nine used single adhesives with two examples of the scarce 10 pa. orange of excellent appearance, signed A. Diena & Thier, 20 pa. rose, four fine examples and 40 pa. blue, two singles; all cancelled by NAPLACENO handstamps in black or blue, also a further 40 pa. blue very lightly cancelled. A rare group Mi = € 3'440.

    1866: Prince Michael 20 pa. rose perf. 12 from the Vienna printing, a fine and fresh adhesive tied by boxed NAPLACENO handstamp to cover from Trstenik to Belgrade, matching straight line handstamp "TRSTENIK 2/4" (1867) alongside, reverse with "BEOGRAD 7/4" cds in blue. Very late usage of the Trstenik handstamp, in addition this PO received only 200 adhesives of the 20 pa. stamp, a very fine and scarce usage.

    First Belgrad printing 1869 (Jan 5): Registered cover with receipt from Zaicarske to Gornij Milanovac bearing 20 pa. rose and pair 40 pa. ultramarin perf. 9½ on pelure paper, each stamp tied lightly by "ZAICARSKE 5/1" cds in blue, another information strike and PREPORUCEVO (Registered) handstamp in blue alongside. Sideflaps missing and seal cut out, nevertheless a very attractive usage to pay 20 pa. for postage, 40 pa. for registration and another 40 pa. for the receipt. Signed Kardosch SBPV; cert.     Second Belgrad printing perf. 9½ on wove paper 1868: Selection five stamps, a piece and a cover incl. 20 pa. rose, three mint examples, one cancelled with PARACIN cds, and a horizontal strip of three with UB cancellation in blue as well as a cover from UZICE to Cacak. Also a rare single adhesive of the 40 pa. ultramarine cancelled SVILAJNAC. Nice group of stamps of the last printing of the Prince Michael definitives which came into use after his assassination in June 1868 and was in use from November 1868 until it was replaced by the Prince Milan issue in 1869.

    Prince Milan First printing 1876 (Dec 24): Envelope from Belgrad to the well-known Serbian architect Kosta Jovanovic in Vienna bearing 15 pa.orange perf. 9½ x 12, tied by bilingual "BEOGRAD BELGRADE 24 DEC 1876" cds in black. Reverse with LEOPOLDSTADT WIEN arrival cds (Dec 27, 1876). Cover with some edge wear, nevertheless a desirable GPU rate cover. Cert. Velickovic (1994).

    Prince Milan First printing 1871 (July 15): Cover from Zajecar to Pest in Hungary bearing 25 pa. red perf. 9½ x 12, tied by "ZAJETSARCKE 15/7" cds in blue. Reverse with TEKIA, ALT-ORSOVA transit and PEST arrival cds (Aug 3, 1874; julian). A fresh and interesting item in the special rate to Hungary.rnNote: Correctly franked for the first postal treaty between Serbia and Austria which came finally into effect on September 19 / October 1, 1869. The postage between Hungary and Serbia was lower than that between Austria and Serbia, 5 kreuzer or 25 para only.

    Prince Milan First printing 1871 (Jan 14): Registered Cover from Belgrad to Vienna bearing on front 35 pa. green and on reverse 40 pa. dark lilac, both perf. 9½ x 12, both stamps tied by "BEOGRAD 14/1" cds's in black. Framed "RECOMM:" handstamp in black on obverse, reverse with thimble "WIEN RECOMAND:" arrival cds (Jan 30, 1874). A fresh and interesting cover full of character.rnNote: Correctly franked item in the first postal treaty between Serbia and Austria which came finally into effect on September 19 / October 1, 1869. The postage was 35 para equal to 2 kr. for Serbia and 5 kr. for Austria while the registration fee of 40 pa. was slightly lower in Serbia than in Austria where the sender had to pay 10 kr. equal to 50 para.

KOMANDE cds of the Fieldpost Supreme Army Command during the 1877/78 Serbo-Turkish War. Also a single 40 pa. dark-lilac with PREPORUCENO (registered) part strike in blue. A most attractive trio.

    1915 (Aug 26): Envelope from Skopje, Macedonia to England, endorsed "On Active Service Serbia", despatched by a soldier attached to the "LADY PAGET'S HOSPITAL SERBIAN RELIEF FUND UNIT" with matching violet cachet. Envelope has been burnt on all sides from an accident aboard of an unknown vessel. Upon arrival  in Marseille (Sept 24) it was censored and officially sealed with a censorship strip, tied by corresponding cachets and endorsement "Incendie à Bord".
