"Azof" via Aden to Rennes, France, handstamped PACKET LETTER MAURITIUS" alongside overstruck with '8' desimes charge in black due on arrival in France, backstamped in Paris and on arrival "Rennes 10 Aug.58" on reverse.     1859 (sep. 10): Lapirot 2 d. blue, intermediate print, horizontal pair, pos 1 + 2 used on outer lettersheet to to Bordeaux, tied by mute target obliterators in black. Reverse with 'GPO / Mauritius' cds of despatch obverse with red French entry marking (Oct.6) and charged '16' décimes due on arrival in France. Adhesives with clear to large margins on three sides, slightly touched at right with carefuly ironed bends, nevertheless a very scarce issue on letter. RPS Cert. (2005).

    Incoming Mail 1862 (July 18): Washington 10 c. green (3) plus 3 c. pink, cancelled in manuscipt "Paid / 33" on small envelope from New York sent via "London AU 4 62" and then by ship 'Young Phenix, care of Hondlett & Perkins' to Mauritius, struck by scarce 4 1/2 d. accuntancy handstamp in red and backstamped 'MAURITIUS SP 26' on reverse. Despite missing backflap and minor imperfections due transportation, displaying well and a fine postal history item of a scarce destination.

A scarce assembly.

    1789/1948: Balance of 33 covers and stationery items, starting with 1789 entie letter from Port Louis to France, stampless letter from "Mauritius G.P.O.Nov. 14 1849" to London, 1851 'PACKET LETTER MAURITIUS' from London, 1895 12 grey registered P/S cover used from  'Curepipe Road' to Buenos Aires, three wrapper usages with one to Saigon (1896), second to Belgium and third to New Zealand as well as 1882/94 QV wmk. Crown CA issues(13) used.
