The addressee was not found, 'NOT CALLED FOR' handstamp applied on front, returned to Syria, reverse with Nicosia despatch and Beyrout arrival (July 19) datestamps on reverse.

    1921: Two large pieces from the Madagascar Post Office archive, with strips of three 2 d. orange, 3 d. bluish violet, 4 d. grey-green on one; 5 d. yellow-brown, 6 d. purple, 1 s. bistre and 2 s. 6 d. chocolate-brown (these last two strips overprinted SPECIMEN in black (Samuel type GB26), all further struck upon receipt from the UPU in Berne with circular POSTES ET TELEGRAPHES / COLLECTION DE BERNE / MADAGASCAR in red.
