    1850: 1 d. carmine-lake on hard greyish paper, a horizontal pair with clear toi large margins all round, positions 23-24, used on 1851 cover endorsed 'via Armidale' to Lake Innes, Port Macquarie somewhat heavily cancelled in black. Backstamped at Sydney (May 7) and Armidale. Small imperfections but scarce. Ex W.E.Lea.

    1860/72: 5 d. dark bluish green, wmk. '5', perf. 13½, a magnificent unused block of twenty (5 x 4) from the lower left corner of the sheet showing the decorative convolvulus pattern in the sheet margin at left, superbly centred and in a rich shade, a few precautionary hinges on large part slightly brownish original gum. A magnificent and unique multiple - the largest recorded with the pattern, ex collection Hutson.rnrn
