    1874/84: 'Inflation Rate' front and back of cover from Lima to 'any of Her British Majesty's Postmasters' franked at 600 centavos rate (22 times the inflation rate of 27 centavos, rounded up from 594 c. to 600 c.) with 1874/84 50 c. deep green (8, in four pairs) and 1 s. rose-red (2) all tied by framed ARICA handstamps in black. Lima cds on reverse of transit (Nov 26) in black and by London cds in red (Dec 29). Some cover imperfections but an extremely rare 22 times rate cover at the increased tariff of 27 centavos, in use from April to December 1879 only: the sole recorded example and unique. Cert.
