    1906: UPU Specimen set of eight values complete from 1 m. to 1 p., and wmk. Quatrefoil 2 p. - 10 piastres, all overprined both 'Army Service' (Wide 'A' and long tail to 'y' in overprint, thus the first printing), and overprinted SPECIMEN reading down at right in black. Majority fresh and very fine, the 2 m. and 3 m. with light aging at base, the 2 p. with blunt perf., large part og. A scarce set, much under-catalogued Gi = £ 250.

    Note: These should not be confused with the 1954 presentation Specimens, for which the Army Service issue was not included as there were no remainders, also the font is slightly different: the UPU set is in Palatino and the Presentation Specimens are in Courier.
