    1863: Entire letter dated internally September 29, mailed from Landau & Co. in Alexandria to Constantinople, struck with oval framed AGENZIA DI PIRI. OTTOMAANI / ALESSANDRIA / P. P. in green with 'P.P.' for 'Porto Pagata'. The entire with closed tear in front panel but of great rarity, the Italian owned Shipping Company held mail contracts with the Ottoman Government in 1840, renewed every ten years. The service to and from Egypt was irregular, this cachet being amongst the rarest of all Turkish Maritime handstamps.
