    Type 7 & Registration 3. 1893: Registered cover from Bukhara to Peshawar franked on reverse with Russia Arms 10 kopek blue (2, paying postage of 10 k. and registration of 10 k.); tied by BUKHARA datestamps (Jan 16) in black. Routed via Baku, Odessa, Brindisi and SEA POST OFFICE / B datestamp (Feb 23) struck at Suez with oval manuscript filled '484' docket number handstamp on front. Carried on the 'Shannon' with Peshawar arrival cds (March 9). Illustrated in the handbook on page 6. Opened for display, a fine cover demonstrating the difficulties with Afghanistan's terrain - an Overland journey of 400 miles was slower than a Maritime one of 1'800 miles!
