    Missent 1894: USA 2 c. blue postal stationery card from the Smithsonian, Washington DC addressed to Geelong / India rather than Australia. Carried on 'Cathage' and struck with Type 7 SEA POST OFFICE / C datestamp (Aug 14) at Aden arriving Bombay on August 19. Struck with MISSENT IN / INDIAN MAIL in black (Type 2) and returned via 'Hyaspes' to Aden for onward transmission, with Melbourne and Geelong datestamps (Sept 10). Scarce and unusual, illustrated in the handbook on page 127.
