    Type 1B. 1869 Cover, opened for display, from Ireland to Poona via Marseilles, carried at Office's rate of 10 d. and franked with 1865 4 d. vermilion pl. 11 and 1869 6 d. mauve pl. 8 tied by unclear 'Wicklow' obliterators with cds below (Nov 11). Reverse with fine oval SEA POST OFFICE / C datestamp (Nov 25) struck in black at Suez. Carried on the 'Golconda' arriving Bombay December 3, with Poona cds in red (Dec 5).
    Edge wear and minor imperfections to adhesives due to journey, a scarce usage, illustrated in the handbook on page 20.

    Note: The 10 d. Officer's concession rate via Marseilles was withdrawn in December 1869.
