    Type 1A. 1868: Cover to Tellichery, Malabar via Marseilles at 1 s. 1 d. rate, unusually franked by 1867 3 d. rose pl. 5 and overlapped 10 d. deep red-brown pl. 1, tied by 'Torquay / 806' duplexes (July 23). Reverse with fine oval SEA POST OFFICE / (a) datestamp (Aug 1) without Set Letter struck in blue at Suez. Carried on the first voyage of the 'Salsette' arriving Bombay on August 14. Bangalore transits (Aug 20 and 21) and framed 'Too Late' in black. Usual minor imperfections due to journey but an attractive and scarce cover illustrated in the handbook on page 17.
