    Philippines 1853 (Nov 22): Outer letter sheet from Sydney to Manila, Philippines endorsed 'per Duke of Northumberland', franked by 1851/55 1 d. dull orange-red on blued paper and 2 d. blue on grey-blue, the latter creased on application but showing slight doubling of the printing especially in 'South'; tied by dumb obliterators with handstruck '1' (real) due marking for local fee on arrival. Reverse witth Sydney cds in black and Manila cds (Jan 15, 1854) of receipt.
