    1 d. black, Plate 4, lettered FA, used on 1840 1 d. Mulready envelope (stereo A150), addressed to Miss Carmichael in St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands tied by red Maltese Cross. The adhesive with four margins, the Mulready with some aging and small central file fold and stain from red wax seal. Reverse with (probable) 'Worthing' despatch cds in black and London transit cds (July 15) in red. Despite the minor imperfections a rare and most attractive usage.
