    1867/74: 3 soldi green and 25 s. lilac-grey, fine used example on 1869 cover from Smirne to Genoa, Italy tied by neat strike of SMIRNE thimble datestamp (3/9) in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 10). Italic 'PD' below and framed small cartridge PIROSCAFI / POSTALI / ITALIANI in black at left. Reverse with Brindisi transit cds (Sept 8) and Genoa arrival. Minor aging removed from perfs., an attractive and scarce cover.
