    Guadalajara 4 r. carmine, a magnificent horizontal strip of three with ample margins on all sides used on small part of 1858 registered piece with fine 2 r. yellow green tied by FRANCO / GUADALAJARA datestamps (Schatzkes fig. 297) and 'mute whirl' cancellations (Schatzkes fig. 300) in black. One of the 4 reales showing a slight double print of 'Correos Mejico' ribbon. The 4 reales adhesive is particularly scarce in used multiples and this is an extremely fine and delightful piece.
