½ peso orange-yellow, the famous horizontal strip of ten, clear to large margins all round, close on first stamp but not impinging on the design, showing the complete five Transfer Types A-B-C-D-E repeated, this strip being the proving multiple for the arrangement of the cliches ob the lithographic Stone, the composition of the sheet being sixteen 'bloc report' of 5 positions. Some vertical creases not apparent on face and of no significance on such a multiple which is individually cancelled by dotted oval 'Lima' handstamps in black. Together with the vertical block of ten this is the largest multiple of the ½ peso and of impeccable provenance. A major rarity of Peruvian and South American classic philately.
