    ½ gr. dark-orange, 1st plate in hor. pair, positions 69 with retouche and 70, together with 5 gr. rose-carmine, 1st plate in a hor. strip of four, positions 35-38, all tied by framed handstamps to letter from Messina (1 Nov 1859) to Piraeus in Greece with arrival cds on reverse (22 Oct 1859, Julian calendar). A spectacular and very attractive franking in spite of some minor faults. Signed Paolo Vaccari, cert. Colla (2014) Sassone = EUR ca. 200'000.
