DO PRINCIPE datestamp (Aug 1, 1877 - month inverted in datestamp) with identical franking of 500 r. orange in a horizontal pair used with 1876/77 rouletted 200 r. black similarly cancelled S. J. DO PRINCIPE datestamp (Aug 28, 1877) at left. The rates for Judicial documents were changed by decree in May 1877. A stunning item of great scarcity and in a remarkable state of preservation for such a piece. Exhibition item.
