    1 d. green used on 1871 cover endorsed 'via de Magallanes' to Buenos Aires, Argentina tied on despatch by light strike of 'Tacna / Peru' datestamp in black. Reverse with Arica transit cds of the Peruvian Post Office in black and front with red crayon charge (2 pesos and 4 reales). Cover with closed tear on front but Peru and Argentina had no postal convention at this date. This cover is discussed in 'Filatelia Peruana' (Dec 2011) on pages 24-26 where two further covers are mentioned. Rare.
