    1863 (Nov 3): Envelope with purple crest on reverse, mailed to Alexandria with fine strike of oval POSTA EUROPEA / BENHA datestamp in blue (Smith Type V = 24 points) with manuscript '1' piastre charge in red alongside. Reverse with Type VI POSTA EUROPEA / ALESSANDRIA circular datestamp (same day) in black. An extremely rare marking. Signed Todd AIEP.
