    1874 (May 15): Cover from Alexandria to Tripoli, Syria franked at double rate with 1872 1 k. brown (2) and single 10 k. green & carmine on horizontally laid paper, all tied by dotted '785' numerals handstamps of Alexandria in blue-green. Reverse with fine strike of scarce ALEXANDRIA three line dated circular handstamp in same blue-green ink (Tchilinghirian fig. 260 / Smith fig. 3/D5). A rare and splendid cover for Exhibition collection. Signed Todd AIEP. Cert BPB (2002).
