    1852 (Nov 3): Franco envelope in the third weight rate (21 gr.) from Bern Switzerland, prepaid in cash with 195 rappen (handwritten note "195" on reverse as well as "P.D." and handwritten "affranchie" on front), directed to London with Bern dispatch and red French entry cds's on front. Redirected to Jeltsworth and franked with two Penny Red, tied by numeral London-type postmark "16", blueish transit and arrival cds's (Nov 9) on reverse of this cover which is shown and described in Schäfer, Swiss Letter Mail to Foreign Countries, p. 200.
