200 r. black, marginal horizontal pair with Spanish imprint '..etes De Banco Nueva York', used on underpaid 1870 cover to Weibeek, Oldenburg, Germany. Superb SANTA CATHERINA cds at left (Sept 9) and stamps cancelled in blue (both by segmented and by dotted 'star' cancel) and also by oval framed INSUFICIENTE in red. Marked '2' in manuscript in red on front for double rate; reverse with Rio transit cds in blue (Sept 15) and German arrival and marked '3' in manuscript in red to collect. Unusually not charged with French charge marking with obverse showing BRESIL / AMB. CALAIS E (Oct 19) entry mark (Salles 1186) in black.
