    1871 (Jan 25): Large part entire Gazette Des Absents No. 31, carried on Ballon Monté 'Le Richard Wallace', struck with 'Paris / Rue Derpente' cds in black, the stamp originally attached having floated off when the Ballon crashed in the Atlantic Ocean. Reverse with 'Ars-En-Ré' cds (Feb 20) and 'Napoleonville' datestamp of receipt (Feb 23) with manuscript notation by datestamp "arrivée en cet état au Bureau des Postes". Despite  appearances, a very rare entire.
