    1871 (Jan 6): Entire letter carried on Ballon Monté 'Le Duquesne' and addressed to the Strand, London franked by 1870 Cérès 10 c. bistre and 20 c. blue tied by Paris Star 25 with Rue Serpente cds alongside. Red 'PD' above and reverse with two London arrival datestamps (Jan 11). Stamps applied slightly off the top edge of entire with 20 c. perfs. trimmed but a scarce and most attractive Ballon.
