    1872: Paris 50 bani deep rose on rose paper, a fine used example on 1873 insufficiently prepaid entire letter from Galatz to Athens, tied by 'Galati' datestamp (Feb 10) in black (Kiriac fig. 500). Struck with AFFRANCHISEMENT / INSUFFISANT in black and manuscript '2' denoting double rate at left; and franked for both Postage Due and Internal Delivery with Greece Large Hermes 1870/71 80 l. rose red and 1872/75 10 l. orange, 20 l. deep blue and 40 l. dull mauve on blued all tied by Athens '1' lozenge of dots. Reverse with Vienna and Trieste transit datestamps. An entire of magnificent appearance and a wonderful franking. Signed Pascanu. Cert. Holcombe who recorded just three covers with the 1872 50 bani used with Greece Large Hermes (1992).
