    1897: 2½ d. on 2 s. dull purple, overprinted SG type 10, the wonderful mint example of excellent centering and colour, fresh and fine, large part original gum. An extremely rare stamp in excellent condition. Ex collection Tompkins (lot 1239, 2006). Cert. BPA (1997) Scott 61 = $ 20'000/Gi = £ 19'000.
    Note: Just 240 of the 2 shilling stamp were overprinted, the set-up of 30 in the overprinting process gives just 2 stamps with this overprint type in each frame of 30 overprinted. Thus only 16 examples of this stamp can exist of which only 14 have been recorded mint and none are known used.
