    90 reis black, late Early Impression, a horizontal pair with large margins all round, used on November 27, 1843 entire letter from NEW YORK to Rio Grande (Pedrick correspondence) and endorsed internally "via Rio de Janeiro", tied by CORREIO GERAL DA CORTE datestamps (Jan 29, 1844) in black. Reverse showing manuscript "Forwarded by C. Coleman & Co." and somewhat mothy obverse with minor tape repairs and manuscript "Vapor"-the 180 reis pre-paying the double Maritime rate. Unrecorded by Juchert. A marvellous and famous franking. Cert. Moorhouse (2013).
