    1857: 1 d. red star, 1858 2 d. blue pl. 7 and 1855/57 6 d.deep lilac all used on 1859 cover endorsed "Post Paid via Altona" to Itzehoe, Holstein and tied by "Gravesend / 322" duplexes. Struck with two line "PART PAID / MORE TO PAY" in black on front and actually overpaid 1 penny towards the Danish share; with manuscript at lower left "fr. 1 nur" (free only 1 skilling), the amount due not being levied. Overall ageing but a remarkable and most unusual cover.
