    Berlad Postal Fraud 1858: 40 parale greenish blue on yellowish paper, two examples with large margins all round, each previously cancelled by framed Cyrillic FRANKO handstamps in blue; used on registered cover front and further tied by "Berlad / Moldova" datestamps (23/10) also struck in blue (Kiriac fig. 272, without bar across the datestamp). Italic RECEPISSE registration cachet at top and Galatz arrival on part flap (27/10) on reverse. An exceptional example of the Postal Fraud perpetrated by the Postmaster at Berlad who was releived of his duties on 2 November 1859. Unique.
