    RSFSR 1922 (April 4): 7500 r. on 250 r. first RSFSR definitives (horizontal gutter pair with plate number) and 22500 r. definitives (vertical pair) tied by Petrograd cds's on reverse of registered envelope to Berlin (Apr 14). The registration mark on the front of the cover is a combination of a one-line 'St. Pétersbourg' handstamp and a numerator mark; this combination can be found as a temporary substitute only for few months at the beginning of 1922.
