    1914 (Feb): Perkins Bacon Die Proof for the 1 d. value, State 1, the Die with solid background to the vignette, printed in bright red on thin glazed white card in vertical format (92 x 123 mm.), endorsed 'First state' at base in pencil and "Received 12/2/14" at top in pencil. Reverse with circular Perkins Bacon, Southwark "PROOF" cachet in black.
