    1867/81: Laureated 6 d. blue, used on 1879 cover to Cork, Ireland tied by "Echuca / 4" duplex in black (April 15). The envelope with fine oval cachet of "J. MAULTBY / HERO" with Ship vignette struck in violet. Cork arrival cds (June 9) on reverse. Echuca is on the Murray River and the "Hero", built in 1874 by George Linklater, was first captained by J. Maultby. The paddle-steamer was still employed on the river in 1957 when she caught fire and sank. Raised in 1988, she has been fully restored and still operates from Echuca.
