    Beaded Oval 1862/64: 6 d. grey-black used with Laureated 1863/74 4 d. deep rose, perf. 12, on cover to Dublin, Ireland endorsed "Per Northam" and "Via Marseilles" in manuscript, tied by "R.M.S.S. / V / HOBSONS BAY" duplexes (Dec 26). A fine example of this scarce cancellation - in 1861 a service was introduced allowing mail posted late for the English Mail to be delivered to the ship whilst still at anchor. No Late Fee was charged on this cover.
