1849 (March 19): Cover from Richmond to Sydney sent freee and correctly countersigned at base, struck with fine octagonal framed "FREE / RICHMOND" in red. Reverse with oval "RICHMOND / ♚ / MA 19 / 1849 / NEW S. WALES" and "GENERAL POST OFFICE / ♚ / SYDNEY" arrival (March 20) both in black and displaying well.
