    1850 (April-July): 2 d. bright blue, Plate II (positions 22-23), a fine horizontal pair in a vivid shade with good to large margins all round, used on 1850 entire letter from Sydney to Geelong, tied in black by faint obliterators with framed "TOO LATE" handstamp adjacent (extremely rare on Sydney View covers). Manuscript dated at lower left "June 28, 1850" and reverse with "SYDNEY / ♚ / NEW SOUTH WALES" despatch datestamp  "MELBOURNE / ♚ / PORT PHILLIP" oval and "GEELONG / ♚ / PORT PHILLIP" arrival (July 9). Palmer cover census #148.
