    Verticais 1850: 60 r. black, a used vertical pair on 1851 cover from Villa de Franca to Porto, Portugal, the franking paying the inland double rate to Rio de Janeiro and tied by boxed handstamp with "Correio Geral da Corte" cds (Sept 26) applied in transit. Carried North by RMSP steamer "Severn", with Lisbon cds (Nov 8) and framed "P.BRIT" handstamps in blue, charged "180+40 = 220" reis to pay upon arrival with the three handstamps in shades of blue or blue-green.
