    1850: Carta a mano 5 c. 'giallo ocra' and 10 c. 'nero', two fine and fresh examples in fresh colour with good to large margins, tied by "VERONA 1 / 10" (1851) cds, on entire letter of the Curia in Verona to Cardinal Penilenzieve in Roma, reverse with ROMA arrival cds (Oct 6) in red. Paid only for the Austrian part of the journey, the part within the Papal States was postage free for the receiver. Cert. E.
