    1881 (July 1): 7 c. deep blue, plate I, imperforate, a used example in combination with 2 c. slate-violet, both with large margins all round, on 1883 cover to Lyon, France endorsed "via St. Nazaire", tied by "Port au Prince / Haiti" cds (Oct 17) in black. Carried on French Packets with circular "PORT AU PRINCE / PAQ. FR. F" datestamp (Oct 18) in black (Salles fig. 1593) to St. Thomas and carried from there on the "Ville de Bordeaux" with reverse showing circular "LIGNE B / PAQ. FR. No. 1" datestamp (Oct 27) in black (Salles fig. 1433). The cover unaccountably 1 cent underpaid but not charged. A fine and most unusual cover.
