    1881 (July 1): 5 c. yellow-green on greenish, plate I, imperforate, a used example with single 3 c. grey-bistre on bistre and 2 c dull violet, good to large margins all round, on circa 1881/82 single rate cover endorsed "von Gonaives" to Tonsberg, Norway, tied in transit by "VERVIERS / 8 10 4 / COELN" datestamp (Oct 8) applied on Ambulante No. 4. One of two known covers from Gonaives to this addressee (the other bears a pair of 5 cent), this being the sole recorded example of this particular franking. A very rare and attractive cover to a most unusual destination.
