    1881 (July 1): 1 c. vermilion on yellowish, plate I, imperforate, a horizontal pair used in combination with 2 c. deep purple, plate II, first printing, perf. 13½, four single examples on 1884 single rate cover, slight trim at base, addressed to N. F. Seebeck in New York, all tied by "Cap Haitien / Haiti" cds's (Jan 11) in black. Reverse with "New York / Paid All" arrival (Jan 18).
