    Penasson Issue 1872: 1 pi. red, perf. 13½, used example on 1873 underpaid cover to Mansura tied by "V.R. Poste Egiziane / Alessandria" cds (March 29). Struck with framed "AFFRANCATURA / INSUFFICIENTE" in black with handstruck "3" due marking applied in black (found to be double weight, 1 pi. due + 1 pi. for double the deficiency). Some opening flap tears restored on reverse with Mansura arrival (same day). Scarce.
