Imperial Administration handstamped British East Africa 1895 (July 9): 4 a. yellow brown, handstamped in black, a used block of eight (6 x 2) and 1 r. carmine in two horizontal strips of four, one marginal from base of sheet, used on large piece of 1896 registered cover to England, all tied by MOMBASA squared circle datestamps (Feb 25) in black. The 4 a. block close to left hand edge but all perfs. fine - this being the second largest multiple recorded ("British East Africa" by John Minns, page 52). Attractive and scarce. Signed A.
