    Remington Postmaster Provisionals 1895 (Feb 19): Manuscript "½ anna" on 3 a. black on dull red, countersigned "T.E.C.R." (Remington), a used horizontal pair with 1890/94 ½ a. dull brown and 6 a. black on dull red, on 1895 registered cover (embossed IBEA Co. on reverse) to London tied by MOMBASA circular datestamps (May 9) in black. Oval "Registered / London" arrival (June 2) in red below. Correctly rated at 4½ annas (2½ a. + 2 a. registration), commercial covers bearing this issue are uncommon, John Minns noted just two (page 46).
