1851, 1 d. carmine, plate II, positions 7 and 12, vertical pair, horizontal laid paper, variety "No Tree on Hill", used on cover, from Windsor to Sydney, dated 24 October 1851, chamfered corners but four margins, tied by "3" numeral in black, to reverse the "Windsor" datestamp and "New South Wales" dated 25 October 1851, letter headed up "South Creek"; certificate states genuine "stamp lifted and replaced", small opening tear top, uncreased, very fine and rare usage of the plate II laid paper, only four covers known on laid paper, this being the only example with a variety.
